The wilderness is calling and this 80-Series Land Cruiser dream rig is ready to take you there. Packed with off-road capability and camping features, no other vehicle on Outdoorsy can take you further afield with as much comfort, capability, and style.Minutes from John Wayne Airport, this Land Cruiser is convenient to pick up and hit the road. The camping systems are simple to use but comfortable and effective, so you won’t have to spend your vacation fiddling with a finicky RV.Picture yourself and a couple lucky friends winding through the forests of the Sierra Nevada, climbing the mesas of Moab, or plying the deserts of Death Valley. No destination is inaccessible, no adventure unattainable in the Ultimate 80.A few of the available features include:
- iKamper SkyCamp 3.0 premium hard shell roof tent available. Folds out to a king-size bed and sets up in one minute!
- 55-liter Dometic CFX3 55IM portable fridge available with battery power supply and a dedicated vehicle power port. Cold food and drinks wherever you take it! It can even make ice for your backcountry margaritas on the rocks.
- Premium Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth-based Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Steel front bumper, rear bumper, and rock sliders from Slee Offroad
- 35" General Grabber X3 tires
- Baja Designs LP6 Pro LED trail lights to light up the trail at night
- Upgraded Fox Racing shocks at all four corners for control and ride quality
- And much, much more
*** If you smoke (tobacco, cannabis, vape, etc), we respectfully ask you to book a different vehicle. We have found that even trace smoke smells are difficult to clean and a bummer for our guests. No judgment on you! Just not the right fit for this vehicle. Thank you!*** No technical off-roading, rock crawling, etc. We welcome you using this exploration machine to get off the beaten path and access those sweet campsites and hidden gems, but you must avoid any routes that put any component of the vehicle (or you!) at risk. What's includedThe Land Cruiser will come ready with the roof tent (including mattress and fresh sheets) (if selected), 55L fridge (if selected), and camp kitchen (if selected). Other gear and provisioning will be up to you, but if you need anything else or think we've missed anything, please reach out and we'll do our best to accommodate you!RecommendationsWe love planning adventures. Hit us up and we'll help you have a great time in the Land Cruiser. Mountains? Maybe Big Bear, Idyllwild, Kernville, Bishop, Mammoth, or Yosemite. Desert? Maybe Joshua Tree, Death Valley, or Anza Borrego nearby, or Utah for a road trip. Forests? Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, Redwood NP, and so many others. Beach? We love Reef Point locally or Pismo for a road trip, but we're still looking for more good "adventure" beach destinations - we welcome tips!Other things to note*** While this FZJ80 was a luxury machine when it was hand-hewn from a solid ingot of samurai steel in a remote Japanese village during the Tokugawa shogunate, it is now a working adventure rig. Expect a stout exploration partner; don't expect a museum piece ready for the Concours d'Elegance.*** IF YOU SMOKE (tobacco, cannabis, vape, etc), we respectfully ask you to book a different vehicle. We have found that the smell gets into the car and is very difficult to remove, even if no smoking happens within the vehicle - it seems to transfer from clothing or other means. It's difficult to clean and a big bummer for us and our other guests. No judgment on you! Just not the right fit for this vehicle. Thank you!*** NO TECHNICAL OFFROADING, ROCK CRAWLING, ETC. This Land Cruiser is a beast and though it has ton of capability you shouldn't come anywhere close to testing it. Light off-highway driving is allowed to access those sweet campsites and hidden gems, but you must avoid any plans that put any component of the vehicle (or you!) at risk.*** MUST remain within the United States throughout the rental period. No trips to Baja or the Yukon, as rad as those destinations are. Thank you!We work hard to send the Land Cruiser out in the condition we would for any of our friends, and we just ask you to treat it as a friend would, too. Thank you!

Basil was super easy to work with, and the vehicle was everything promised and more. I (absolutely) would rent from him again and would love to take the rig on another road trip. We went Utah through several national & state parks and zero issues.

We had a wonderful trip with the 80s Landcruiser. The rig is complete, confortable and great to travel with. We were with our two young kids and they loved sleeping in the roof tent. We really recommend it ! The owner is great too !

We had the best time on our road trip in the Land Cruiser! The car had everything we needed, and the rooftop tent was great for camping and easy to set up. The perfect way to explore the California national parks and coast!

Thanks, Kate, really enjoyed hosting you! Glad you had a great time.

Where do I even begin!

Very cool 80 series Land Cruiser. Excellent communication with the owner from the moment I enquired to when we dropped it back off. They made it very convenient to pick up/return. This is an eye catcher. Keep in mind what you're getting - a very cool 20 year old over landing classic Land Cruiser. Meaning it rides like it but if you're looking to get this you are familiar with what it is. Perfect for our surf trip. The Dometic fridge was perfect for all our food and drinks for the day. Very clean interior. 80 series have a lot of storage in the rear, especially with the 3rd row seats removed like this. Slee front and rear bumpers. Winch. Lights. Frontrunner roof rack. Perfect adventure rig or just something to look cool in.

Thanks, Rob, you guys were awesome! Would love to have you back!
