Our vans were built for boondocking with a view.
To go off grid we have 300 amp hours of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LifePo4) batteries, 800W of solar power, batteries that charge as you drive, 44 gallons of water, and a dry flush toilet. We also have 5 bunk windows providing you with views almost everywhere you look.Other things to note
We love our vans, but also recognize they come with limitations you may not be used to with #vanlife. We highlight what you may not be used to with a campervan below:
1. Embrace minimalism: We recommend you pack light (backpacks and duffle bags, not suit cases). Although we have more storage than most Class B vehicles, you will be surprised at how quickly you fill it.
2. Get used to tiny living: The ceilings are 6'2" tall, the shower is 24" wide, 32" long, and 5'10" tall, and the bed is about 5" shorter than a normal queen. Showering and going to the bathroom is a bit less comfortable than you may be used to and if you are over 6' tall and if you are over 6'2" you may need to sleep at a slight angle.
3. Power and water are essential: Although our vans are built specifically for boondocking and feature industry leading power and water systems, you should always be conscious of your usage. With average use, 44 gallons of water (more than double the standard campervan) will last 5-7 days and our 300ah Lithium batteries (triple the capacity of a standard campervan) will last 5-7 days before needing to be charged, which is as simple as driving the vehicle, finding sunlight, or plugging into a power source.
Note - There will be slight design differences across our vans (minor colors, decor, etc.), however, we try to maintain an identical experience across our vehicles.FAQs:
1. What time can I pick up and drop off my van?
We are the only campervan company to offer pickup and drop-off between 9am and 5pm without charging additional fees. We ask you communicate when you'd like to pick up and drop off your van at least 3 days ahead of your pick/drop-off so we can plan accordingly.
2. What are your cleaning procedures?
We include freshly cleaned linens and kitchenware with every trip that have been washed under high heat. We thoroughly clean the entire van prior to your trip using a combination of AirBnB, Outdoorsy, and hotel best practices. This includes proper ventilation for at least 12 hours prior to your trip, approved disinfectants in the cab and house, sanitization of the cab and high-touch surfaces (switches, remotes, keys, etc.) immediately prior to your trip,
3. Do you charge any fees for mileage?
We include 150 miles per day with your rental (50% more than most campervans) and charge $0.42 per mile driven beyond that (e.g. a 7 night, 8 day trip will have 1,200 miles included). We do not monitor each individual day, but the beginning and ending mileage.
4. How is the internet?
We provide a 5G hotspot with unlimited business data plans for our guests. This hotspot will be either a T-Mobile hotspot. To improve the internet further, our vans feature a built-in commercial fleet cellular booster, the same used in most emergency vehicles to provide optimal internet/cellular availability. We invest heavily in our data plans, however, are dependent on the coverage of each carrier. Although internet has been sufficient for most renters, we recommend guests to plan accordingly by checking T-Mobile coverage maps and validating coverage if you have critical meetings or need to remain connected.
5. What's the best way to check internet coverage, plan water fills, and find great boondocking spots?
We recommend downloading the FreeRoam app in the App Store or Google Play store. This is our favorite app for boondocking and has great crowdsourced filters and recommendations.
6. What is boondocking?
Boondocking is dispersed camping with limitless possibilities. Our vans have been built specifically for this purpose with some of the largest water and power systems you can find (more double the water you'll find in a Winnebago Solis, triple the usable power and solar power, and dry-flush toilets requiring far less maintenance/emptying).
7. What kind of toilet do you have?
We have what we considered the cleanest, easiest toilet for vanlife. Our toilets are called Dry Flush toilets and you can think of them as adult versions of a diaper genie. You get ~17 flushes per cartridge, multiple cartridges are provided for your trip, the cartridges are smell free once flushed, and they are easy and clean to dispose of. We will include a how-to video prior to your trip, however, you can Google "Dry Flush Toilet" if you are interested in learning more. We've done our fair share of testing on this one (not recommended) and learned other options, specifically the cassette and composting toilets you find in most other vans get messy, smelling, and just plain gross - this is the last thing we want for our guests.
8. Will the vehicle have any issues? If so, what do we do?
Although issues are not common for our vans, as with any rental vehicle, they can occur. We take pride in the fact that we only purchase brand new vehicles, direct from the dealership (no salvaged titles here), and maintain a perfect service record with the dealership. For the house of the van, we are a professional campervan builder that uses only industry leading parts and follows RV electrical and plumbing code. If you do run into issues, we offer direct phone support to help you get back on the road Asap. This is all we do and your experience is our top priority. We believe that starts with a well-built campervan and ends with the best customer support.

Showering and going to the bathroom is a bit less comfortable than you may be used to and if you are over 6' tall (like me), you may need to sleep at a slight angle to be comfortable.
3. Stay clean: It's surprising how much dirt we carry with us. We recommend banging keeping your shoes in the cubbies or front of the van, keeping the floors clean, and changing into fresh clothes when you go to bed for the most comfortable trip.
4. Power and water are essential: Although our vans are built for boondocking, you should still be aware of your electrical and water consumption. Be conservative with water and do not use any appliances rater above 2,200 watts (e.g. no hair dryers). Also, check the battery power once per day and make sure the batteries do not fall below 25% as they may be damaged if they do.

What a great trip! The Van was excellent, comfortable, and spacious. I did a 2.5 week trip and it was an amazing home on wheels! Some troubleshooting during the beginning but the owners were always responsive and helpful. I miss it already! Would definitely rent with them again, or even better, buy one in the future. Thanks for a great trip!

This was our first time renting a van like this. Noma made everything super simple and easy to use for us. We felt comfortable and secure the entire trip. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

Everything with the van owner was great. They responded quickly and were very helpful at pickup and return. Outdoorsy, however was slow to respond to questions submitted via email (use chat if you want a reply). Outdoorsy also sent me to the wrong address to pick up my van which cost me $45 to take another Uber ride to get across town. Van owner said they had let Outdoorsy know several times it was the wrong address but Outdoorsy wouldn’t change it. Outdoorsy also sent me emails to go sign docs that were available to sign. When I finally talked with someone they said that the docs would be ready and available until 24 hours before rental started (emails were sent to me 3 days before). So I spent 2 hours trying to figure out what to sign and trying to talk to Outdoorsy before learning there was nothing for me to do yet. So A+ (5 of 5) for Noma Vans and about a C rating (3 of 5) for Outdoorsy.

Our Noma Van adventure was perfect! Everything on the van was top notch. We had the van for 8 days and we could’ve gone for another 8 days enjoying our adventure in comfort. The owners had a very convenient user guide video that we watched to familiarized our self with the van even before we picked it up. The Noma van was clean and ready to go when we arrived and a easy quick return. The Owners were terrific every step of the way. There were a lot of van choices, but We went with Noma because they didn’t nickel and dime throughout the process, everything was included. Includes plenty of mileage, and stock the van with all the essentials, including sheets, pillows, cookware, paper towels, and the wonderful touch including a Keurig coffee maker with coffee pods to start your journey. My husband was able to work the entire trip with plenty of Wi-Fi. The last night we watched a movie and had pizza. Great fun.
Thank you Noma! #lifememories

Van is top notch! Has all the bells and whistles you could ask for, plus more! Jeff was great for pickup, drop off, and provided us with a detailed video/pdf to help us utilize the van on our trip. Look forward to booking with them again!

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We have aligned our pick-up/drop-off times similar to hotels, with a 3pm or later pick-up, 11am or earlier drop-off. We do allow exceptions on a case by case basis. The campervan is currently at a gated, attended storage facility in Ballard and is accessible 9am-6pm M-Sat, 9am-5pm Sun, and closed from 12-1pm. If you drive a vehicle to pick up the van, you can park your vehicle in the same spot as the van and will leave your keys with the attendant in case there is an emergency.

Q.Does your van have a toilet?
A.
Yes! Our van has a dry-flush toilet and we absolutely love it. It's a full size toilet placed in the bathroom and it's basically an adult version of a diaper genie. There is no smell (once flushed of course), it's easy to use, and if you end up using more than 17 flushes and need to change the cartridge, it can go straight in the waste bin with no mess (it's in a black bag and can even be thrown away at a gas station garbage bin). We like it more than both composting and cassette toilets.

Q.How does mileage work?
A.
Mileage is cumulative throughout your trip and is not a day by day calculation. Just take the number of days and multiple by the miles per day allowed in our listing and this is what will be used when you drop off your van to determine if there are any additional mileage fees.

Q.What amenities does your van include?
A.
Kitchen: pots, pans, dishes, silverware, spices, olive oil, dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, cutting board, cups, mugs, Kuerig, K-Cups, creamer. Bath: Beekman 1802 shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toilet paper. Bedroom: Fresh linens, pillows. Electronics: 5G unlimited data, iPhone charger, USB-C charger, Micro-USB charger, projector, Chromecast. Activities: Jenga, Deck of cards. Safety: Backup camera, front-camera, emergency kit, tire chains, fire extinguisher.
