RecommendationsWe have taken our RV all over Virginia/NC and recently returned from a 3000 mile trip from Virginia to Key West and then New Orleans with our two young kids (then 1 and 4). It was an absolute blast and we can't wait to share our travel trailer with others so they can have similar great experiences too! When charged beforehand, the RV battery will usually last the entire weekend if boondocking (camping without water, sewer or electrical connections). **When not plugged in, please note that the microwave, AC, and plug outlets do not work, but USB outlets still work, as will powered awning, tongue jack, and interior/exterior lights, and water pump**
Water tank can also be filled for areas with no water hookups
If plugged in, this RV requires a 30Amp electrical outlet or generator.
Other things to noteAbsolutely no smoking in the RV.RV is easy to back up and very easy to turn around in parking lots, U-turns, etc. Both the A/C (electric) and heater (propane) work extremely well. In fact, we have used this RV when it was below freezing outside and when it was well over 90 degrees.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We work from home so are generally pretty flexible.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
Basic RV connections that we will go over in full detail during walkthrough. There will also be detailed setup and break down instructions in binder inside RV.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Yes. Knowing how to drive while pulling a trailer or backing up is helpful but also easy enough to learn on the fly. While driving, take wider turns so as not to damage RV/another vehicle/tree/etc and go slow. This helps you become more confident and saves on gas. To back up a trailer, grab the steering wheel at the bottom (6 o'clock) and turn towards whichever direction you want the back of the trailer to go. If you mess up, just pull forward some and try again. Other campers often offer help.

Q.Is RVing across the country as cool as it sounds?
A.
YES! From little things, like being able to pull off the road and use a nice, clean bathroom instead of finding a gas station, and stopping and hopping in the back to make a quick, cheap lunch when you are sick of fast food, to finding endless scenery and meeting lots of fantastic people, the joys of RVing are almost endless. We bought an RV to travel during COVID since we were not comfortable flying on planes and it has turned out to be one of our best decisions!
