RecommendationsI love so much about Montana its hard to know where to start!
If you're wanting to stay somewhat local I recommend heading to either big sky or Livingston, and making your way through Yellowstone. Another great option are the Lewis and Clark Caverns but make sure you book your guided tour and campsite early!
If you're up for a bigger adventure I would head to the northwest toward glacier with a stop in Seeley lake at "The ice cream place" along the way, and then a quick hike at Holland Lake.
Before you leave Bozeman my favorite places to eat locally are "Wild Crumb" and "Jam" . Another fun stop is Philipsburg, MT to hunt Montana Sapphires at the mine location.
For the van I recommend packing light, and having gear separated into smaller storage bags. This makes it easier to store in the van and to keep organized while on the road. Most of the storage space is taken up by the van essentials so having your gear organized, and in smaller bags that work for storing on the floor or above the drivers seat is the easiest.
Other things to note
Please leave the van in the same condition you got it in, with all accessories accounted for, and back in approximate locations. Please wash pots/pans and dishes before returning. If you use the Cassette toilet you are responsible for dumping the black water-this can be done at a rest stop in the bathroom toilet. There will be a master checklist so you can check off if everything is back. If I need to do excessive cleaning or replacing of accessories it will come out of the deposit at a fee of $50/hr for cleaning, and the exact cost per item to replace goods that were damaged or lost.
No-smoking, festivals or aggressive off-roading.
I will thoroughly clean the interior of the van and put in clean linens before each new renter, but the exterior cleaning will be on an as needed basis.

Meet your host, Laura

Member since 2023

My name is Laura and I've lived in Bozeman for almost 20 wonderful years. I love doing anything that involves this van and an adventure! I travel for Beach volleyball tournaments and this is the perfect way to get away without having to worry about VRBOs. My husband and I have 2 children and a basset hound and love to travel across Montana. I hope you have as much fun in this Van as me and my family do!
