My son just turned 6 and it was time he experienced some of the same outdoor adventures I experienced with my father as a child. My family had a 27' travel trailer when I was growing up and it was something my whole family held very dear to our hearts. Being the youngest of four children (by a minimum of 7 years) meant that I spent a good amount of time as a child alone with my folks as my sisters moved out on their own. I had been wanting to take my son "glamping" in the same manner that I did with my father. The only problem: we didn't have a travel trailer! I was surprised to find Outdoorsy and all of the options available. Ed's camper literally is, "A Perfect Choice." I originally wanted to rent a motorhome. That meant wasting a good chunk of my day in the beginning of the vacation picking it up and then wasting the last day dropping it off. And then I wouldn't have a car to get around. And here is why the arrangement with Ed was sublime! Before being Ed's first renters, we messaged back and forth a bit. He responded courteously and quickly and answered all of my questions. I had no reservations...about making the reservation. (ha!) I told him where we were going (The Austin Hawes campground in Barkhamsted, CT) and when we will be arriving and when we will be leaving. After a nominal (and very appropriate) delivery fee Ed just drives right in and sets the rig up! I supplied a small generator which he hooked up for me. He pushed out the "bump out," rolled out the awning and even rolled out the "green" carpet for us. We got a tour of the RV and off he went. Our vacation started without a hitch (pun intended!) and ended the same. We wasted no time at all with pick up, set up, take down or drop off.
