We could all use a little more "Mercy" after 2020 ;). Mercy is a fully custom rig and was finished in December of 2020. The main features in this van are the HappiJac bed-lift system to allow for bench seating under the main bed that converts to a second bed if sleeping 4 and the inside hot shower!

...and it's the first video that pops up.
Mercy has an Espar heater system. It runs off of the fuel tank (Diesel) and has a thermostat to control it and makes the van toasty in about 10 minutes. There is also a backup propane buddy heater just in case!
Other features and amenities:
-2 AGM batteries (200 Ah each) - powers everything in the van when the vehicle is off. These charge from the solar panels on the roof and the alternator when the vehicle is running and you're driving from place to place
-Happijac bed system - the top bed runs on a track system and with a push of a button, will raise to the ceiling and the bottom bed transforms into bench seating with a day table.
-Inside shower has a 25-gallon fresh water tank and water heater with an automatic pump.
-Kitchen sink runs off the same 25 gallon fresh water tank as the shower
-1 Maxx Air ceiling fan (runs on AGM batteries) and 1 manufacture AC unit in the back of the van (only operates when vehicle is running). On the hot days, if the Maxx air fan just isn't cutting it, one may turn on the van and allow it to sit idol for a max of 2 hours to allow the vehicle's AC cool down the van.
-Multiple storage areas inside the van as well as an (optional) large cargo style 30" metal box that is secured to the outside rear door of the van (*must request this about a week before your trip)
-Everchill RV 4.5 cu. ft. full Fridge with Freezer
What's includedHere is what comes included:
-induction stove top, cast iron pan, and stainless steel pot (compatible with induction cooktop)
-RV water filter
-Plate ware and silverware for 4 people
-Butcher block cutting board
-linens for 4 - Bath towels and hand towels
-4 pillows, fitted sheets, top sheets, and a heavy blanket for each bed
-The linens for the convertible bottom bed is located in the storage closet
-Coffee, French press, tiny electric kettle
-Ziplock bags and tupperware containers
-Soap, sponge, and cleaning supplies are stocked as well
-Privacy covers for all of the windows
-Odor pods to brake down the waste in the casset toilet
-First aid kit, Kleenex, papertowels, toilet paper
-Fire extinguisher spray, smoke alarm, CO2 detector
-Delivery and pick up of the van for additional cost
RecommendationsI highly recommend the app "iOverlander" to see a map of free parking spots and camp sites. I use it every time I'm traveling to a new location. The app also shows you where to find public water sources to refill tanks. One can also refill the tanks at truck stops or gas stations with public faucets. There is an RV water filter attachment that comes included in Luna to attach to the spigot before attaching the hose. The pick up location in Golden is the last stop heading out of Denver and into the mountains! - We reimburse $69 to renters that purchase the Interior Damage Protection (Wheelbase) or RV Rental Damage Protection (Outdoorsy)
- No driving under the influence of any drug or alcohol
- No smoking
- Pick up time is between 10am - 5pm and must be communicated ahead of time
- Do not climb on the roof
- No off road driving
- Vehicles must be returned clean, black and grey water tanks emptied
- We do not allow our vehicles to travel through or stop for overnight camping in Black Rock Desert, NV, or similar dry lake beds or areas that produce fine dust.
- Driving on unapproved roads will result in the forfeiture of your entire deposit plus additional damages as incurred.
When it comes to dumping the grey water tank it is important to research the rules and regulations in the area in which you're traveling. Some places you are allowed to dump grey water on the ground and others you can be fined. We recommend no National Parks or forests unless that area permits it, good places may be some BLM land or in parking lots with man made drainage to the city sewer system. Never dump within 100ft or less from natural water sources like rivers, lakes or ponds.

Meet your host, Chai

Member since 2020

In 2020 when covid hit, I moved out of my van that I had lived in for a year and into an apartment. With my hospitality background, I decided to start renting out my van and it did so well that I got a second van, "Mercy". In 2021, I formed an LLC to start renting other people's vans out on consignment. We now have 5 vans and counting!
We are open to meeting unique van owners that would like to add their van to our managed fleet and take part in our consignment program.

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Depending on when the guest before you returns the van and when the guest after you has booked pick up for, will determine if earlier or later pick up is available for your trip.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
The AGM batteries charge from the solar panel and the vehicle’s alternator when the van is running and driving from place to place. No need for shore power hook ups. The 20 gallon grey water tank is mounted on the exterior of the van and can be dumped on the street as long as there is no natural water source within 100 feet of the dumping. There is a mobile cassette toilet with a black water tank that can be dumped at RV campgrounds, sports stores, or we can dump it for a $35 fee.
