The Darlin' is a 2007 Great West Van Sprinter professional conversion van with new wood counters and sink. Seats AND Sleeps 2. The front captain chairs swivel and butcher block table can be set up for eating area. Table top and pole are stored securely out of the way. There is plenty of storage for food and gear. The onboard propane operates the inside and outside stove tops, furnace, hot water heater, and generator. Electric heat available if plugged in to shore power, this is completely separate from propane furnace. The fridge/freezer can run off propane as well as 110v from shore power or generator; and for short time off of the built in 12v system which is completely separate from the power train system. There are USB ports conveniently located in both front and rear for charging devices. The luxury bedding will make sleeping a delight. Both down and synthetic pillows are available. The sheets are organic cotton with linen duvet cover and silk insert for optimal rest and relaxation. An added foam mattress provides another layer of comfort. The sound system with Bluetooth/CD/DVD operates on 12v while there is an inverter plug to operate the tv off grid. The toaster oven, microwave, and a/c are accessible when running generator or with shore power. A Big Berkey Water filter system provides clean drinking water.
Smoke, propane, and carbon monoxide detectors on board.
The Darlin' has plenty of space for 2 but at only 21' that will allow you to explore city or wilderness. Sprinter vans are well known for their ease of driving and the added reverse camera helps while going in that direction as well. The turbo diesel engine has plenty of power to take you through the steepest mountain passes while getting around 21mpg. Just plug your phone into the USB port of the head unit to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (with compatible devices).

RecommendationsWe have enjoyed rustic campgrounds across the United States as well as a few of the Harvest Host sites along our path. Being in southeast Michigan, there are numerous campgrounds and lakes to enjoy. The Darlin' is also equipped for boondocking if so desired.Other things to noteDue to the butcher block countertops we ask that you keep counters wiped off to avoid any standing water. A cafeteria tray is provided for you to place washed dishes to dry to further protect wood countertops.
Countertops are NOT cutting boards, please use the cutting boards provided.
Fabric storage bags are in upper cabinets for the linen curtains that will be removed from the window on the sliding door as well as the window near the sink and stove. Please remove curtains before using stove or using door on a regular basis. They affix with magnets and can be easily removed and put up for privacy.
The couch remains in the bed position due to the added foam mattress and difficulty in making the bed as well as provides storage for clothing bins and gear. A cargo net holds pillows in van when back doors are opened. The captain chairs swivel and can be used for indoor seating. Please use only rv toilet paper in septic system.

Member since 2022

We have been married for almost 30 years, love being outside, especially amongst the trees and near water. Camping in the Darlin' has been a dream come true and we hope to create opportunities for others to find respite under the trees and stars as well.

From start to finish this rental has been perfect. The owners, Lori and Parker, answered our questions ahead of time and stayed in touch while we were on our trip. The RV is in beautiful condition and, as you can read from the detailed description, they include everything you could possibly want and a very comfortable bed too. Truly all you need to bring are your clothes and some food. They supply everything else and it's high quality. This RV is just right for 2 people. We highly recommend everything about our experience.

Parker and Lori’s answer
