Try out the vanlife with "Josie", a custom built camper van on a 2007 Ford Econoline E-150 platform with a great vibe. Available again for rent after a successful 2023 with no rental issues and several trips over 1k miles! Located just a few miles from the Phoenix airport, Josie is a great option for new and experienced RV drivers. Josie comes with everything you need so you can travel light and without mileage restrictions. We have a lot of experience - let us help you plan your itiniery!Josie is a little rough around the edges, but our intention is for you to be able to rent care free about minor damages, especially if you have little experience with vans or RVs. Please read the full description as we do not want to misrepresent what she has to offer.The Build: Simplistic - Dinette sleeping conversion with storage under the benches and two position table. The sleeping arrangement is designed as two separate cot sized single beds with 4 inch memory foam. Bedding and towels will be provided. Small bookshelf and two drawer, two cabinet cupboard behind the driver seat with water container and camping stove. Kenai 25 qt cooler. 6 gallon fresh water container with spigot. Off grid solar electric system with 2x 100 watt solar panels, 100AH battery, roof vent fan, 2x 2 USB outlets, ceiling puck lights with dimmer and 700 watt inverter. Diesel parking heater with thermostat so you can control the temperature.Mechanical: The following mechanic work was completed in December 2022: full mechanical inspection, replaced all four shocks, full A/C replacement (compressor, condenser, accumulator and all hoses), brake service, front wheel bearings (left and right inner and outer) replaced, stabilizer bushings replaced, wheel speed sensor replaced and more. She is high mileage (~395,000), but engine and transmission have been recently replaced. We conduct maintence between all trips to ensure you have a good experience. On average she gets about 14 mpg. Full disclosure - Josie does currently have the check engine light on, but has the entire 3.5 years we've owned the vehicle . We are continually working to get her back to tip top shape and will update this when complete. Our renters have never suffered a breakdown or any reliability issues.If you don't know what adventure you want to take her on, we can help curate an adventure based on your time frame and interests - between us, we have 6 years of full time van life experience.What's includedOur goal is to provide everything you need for a positive RV/ van experience - bedding, two camping chairs, camping table, cookware, utensils, fuels and more. We actually met on a dirt road in Sedona and collectively have over 150K miles of vanlife served.
