Rosie SchWeger is the best of both worlds with a balance of high tech and low tech. She's a Class B that is self-contained and easy to drive. She is short enough to park if you prefer exploring the city. Her height is just under 10' with plenty of headroom inside for folks who are as tall as 6'4"! There are 2 extra seatbelts and floor mounts in the back to tether your pets in while going down the road as well. Lots of storage throughout and a micro-bathroom at the back! She has solar, but we have found it to be less reliable with the smoke from Canada this summer and do suggest you plug in whenever possible.

Most of the lower storage is dedicated to logistical items (water hose, black hose, electrical cord, and collapsible chairs/tables). The other side houses the lithium batteries above deck for better performance! Please know in advance the solar is not 100% reliable and sometimes you need to hit the reset buttons several times to get them to engage. Also, and admittedly disappointing, they really don't work in harsher weather below 40 degrees F because the jumpstarter battery is AGM (read that old technology susceptible to the weather). We do have a workaround and can show you during the walk around if the weather is going to be cold during your reservation. What's includedWe provide 2 sleeping bags, 4 compact stools that are adjustable and can also be used as a small table. The kitchen is well equipped (4 plates, cups, plasticware, cooking utensils and microwavable bowls). There is a 2 burner propane burner stove, small sink (with separate grey water tank) and small refrigerator.
If you're new to RV'ing, there are a lot of items included that are just necessary for a good experience which we include: Black hose; water hookup with pressure limiter and filter; and electrical cords as well. This rig is also equipped with Solar and can do quite a bit off-grid for a short amount of time.
We also provide an outdoor mat to help minimize tracking in dirt.
We have a bicycle rack that holds 3 bikes for an additional fee (+150).
We can also provide a Solis wifi puck for an extra $15 a day (but our travel supersedes your booking).
RecommendationsPlease budget a solid 60minutes to walk through the systems of this RV. We may wrap up sooner, depending on your RVing knowledge, but there is a LOT to know about this little rig.If you have questions, just ask! We are avid travelers and love to help folx be outdoorsy! We've lived in the midwest for most of our lives and happy to help you find your adventure. For example, if you are flying in, I may be able to scoop you up at the airport if you have time to drop me off. Other things to noteWe are trusting you with our extremely expensive toy. Please be respectful. Pets are welcome, but please no smoking or vapping INSIDE the van. We are highly allergic and will know if you have. No judgment and we don't mind what you do outside of the van as long as you don't drive under the influence! We have zero tolerance for drinking and driving. We bought this so we can libate and stay put and encourage you to do the same (while obeying local ordinances).

Meet your host, Bethany

Member since 2023

My wife and I work to travel and are working towards being full time nomads. Since we can both do a lot of our work remotely, our favorite office is in nature; our work breaks are used for hiking; and evenings are best spent around a campfire with new friends or old.
We've been to almost every state and hope you will ask us if you have any questions!

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I am a Realtor and can be pretty flexible about drop off and pick up. Good communication is the key. We ask that you allow an hour for pick up and 30 minutes for drop off. We will work on shortening these timeframes as we gain more experience.

Q.What type of car/truck do you need to tow this trailer? What are the hitch requirements?
A.
This unit is driveable.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
We rarely put the awning out. If you do, it's a little tricky to get it collapsed correctly and we will show you that when you are checking in. The lithium start batteries are AGM, an older technology, sensitive to cold. If you'll be camping in temperatures below 50F/10C, please remind us so we can show you the work around! Last, don't forget the macerator button is inside the driver's door for emptying the black waste. Rinse the black hose before storing (aka empty grey tank last to do so).

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
ELECTRIC: Plug into Rosie first. The plug is located midway on the driver's side. Next, plug into the 30 amp outlet &flip it on. Inside Rosie, turn on the inverter. You may have to reset the lithium batteries too. If the refrigerator is not humming, you may need to turn it on inside the freezer. The microwave usually beeps too. Always turn off the outlet/fuse & unplug from the campground before unplugging Rosie. Remember to turn off the inverter while driving.
