No driving south of the US border to Mexico, Tijuana. There is no reimbursement for repairs, lost use, or insurance deductibles for damage in Mexico, North to Alaska & Canada.
2. No Off-roading: travel on non-public, unpaved, remote fire or ‘logging’ roads is not permitted at any time. RV’s under carriage has a very low 6” clearance. Please stick to the travel destination plans per your contract.
3. No towing. Tow hitch is locked & not available for use.
4. Avoid highly congested cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco. Areas & roadways where parking & maneuverability is extremely limited. Be sure that your site is free of debris & low hanging brush or branches that could scratch the exterior or tear the awning.
5. Winter: Travel during winter months is permitted. However, clients are responsible for any damage due to battery function &/or systems freezing due to cold weather. Special instructions will be given for de-winterization of the RV. Freezing conditions may even occur in Spring and Fall at higher elevations and should be anticipated and precautionary measures taken. Customer is fully responsible for all mechanical problems and/or towing or vehicle recovery costs.
6. Summer: Travel in summer months and /or in extreme temperatures can strain motor home systems such as roof and dash air conditioners, batteries, generator and refrigerator. We maintain our motorhome to accommodate all weather conditions; however, clients should be made aware that performance of motorhome systems under extreme conditions cannot be guaranteed. Customer is fully responsible for all mechanical problems and/or towing or vehicle recovery costs.
7. Due to the increased incidence of motorhome theft be sure to lock & secure RV doors, windows, compartments. Use privacy curtain.
8. Renter is responsible to check that slide is brought in, awning rolled up, ALL windows, vents, interior & exterior cabinets & doors are closed and locked. Secure items on counter tops, cabinets & flat surfaces that could shift during driving. Don’t forget to turn off water pump, lights, heat, A/C when not in use. Monitor RV levels.
9. No smoking of any substance inside or near the RV. Please refrain from lighting candles or having open flames inside or near the RV.
10. Black out blinds slide up & down. Do not push on window screens or door screen. Use lever to open screen door for entering or exiting the RV.
11. No accessing, climbing, viewing (sitting on lawn chairs) or storing items on the roof.
12. No leaning items on RV or hanging items on exterior ladder: bikes, lawn chairs, rafts, kayaks, fishing poles, surfboards etc. – anything that can damage/scratch the exterior.
13. Storage compartments: when loading or unloading the storage compartments, drawers, cabinets, frig/freezer - please don’t drag items across the rubberized seals. Remember to pack & store your items so they are secure. Items shift during travel. Remove items upon return.
14. No repairs or modifications should be made to the RV without approval of the owner. Please notify us immediately if something isn’t working or you need technical or operational support.
15. Be sure to respect the quiet times & rules of the RV park or campgrounds, especially when using the outdoor speakers, TV & traveling with your kids & your approved pet.
16. The awning is allowed to be used. It’s designed for shade protection & extra space. In windy conditions & before going to bed, please remember to roll up the awning to prevent ripping or tearing of the awning. Don’t hang heavy objects from the awning arms. Flap rolls toward the RV.
17. Auto Leveling Jacks is supplied with the Entegra. The RV works at higher efficiency when it is level. Ask Don how to work the leveling jack system & to ensure the RV is level.
18. Filling the RV with fresh water &/or dumping the tanks (gray & black water) during your vacation may be necessary. Don will show how to dump & fill. Refer to manual.
19. Driving the RV in excess of 70 mph can damage the tires. Avoid costly blowouts - stay off the shoulder of the road and drive the speed limit. The RV has a tracking device that monitors speeds. 3 speed alerts during the course of your travels will incur a $150 charge & every occurrence after 3 alerts will be $50.
20. The RV requires more clearance above, in front, behind and beside to operate safely. Rental clearance acknowledgment for the vehicle
