Even with all the lights on Nalu will simply look like a tour van parked (see video link: https://youtu.be/798Fm5RHsCo ). Roof mounted solar panels and engine generated power will keep the batteries charged 24/7 so you can run all the electronics as much as you like with no worries. For storage space you have several overhead cabinets and plenty of room underneath for luggage, gear, etc. An internal ceiling surfboard rack with straps will allow you to store boards out of the way and locked inside for extra security. This van is very spacious with a height of 6'4 from floor to ceiling and 6'4 length on the full size bed. It is the largest van that can still legally park in a regular parking stall. RecommendationsTake some time to get into an island mindset and set yourself up for an epic island adventure. I recommend you spend some time exploring each coastline (West side, North Shore, East side) using the custom map provided with your booking to determine where you will sleep for the night. Simply choose your adventure and decide where you will camp for the night based on your destination. Rest assured that with the custom map, several private campground options, and stealth mode capabilities of the van you will always find a nice, quiet and peaceful place to start and end your day. Fill up the fridge with drinks and snacks, set your favorite playlist, and cruise from beach to mountain to city with true peace of mind. Other things to noteWherever you go....go slowly. No need to be in a rush. Be respectful of the land and locals. Smile and show aloha to everyone you meet along the way.

Meet your host, TYLER

Member since 2020

After spending a year traveling and living out of my own custom camper-van in Patagonia I moved back to Hawaii and began to consider van life on Oahu. I bought and converted an old ford truck with a camper top and realized the simplicity of surfing, hiking, camping and sleeping around the island with a camper vehicle. Meanwhile, I purchased a vacation rental condo in Aug of 2019 and started Nalu Vacation Rentals, LLC. I found that I enjoyed providing travel needs and custom adventure gear for my guests and added my first camper van "Nalu" to my business and soon after added "Lani" to the fleet. The edition of a luxury campervan was simply a combination of all my experiences and skills traveling and helping others fulfill their adventure dreams.
