All the benefits of an RV without having to drive it on your daytime adventures! She's small, maneuverable, mighty, and, let's face it, egg-stra adorable. RecommendationsSouthern California is camping heaven - beaches, deserts, mountains, and everything in between. Silver Strand, San Elijo, and Carlsbad State Beach are great for beach camping. We also love camping up in the mountains year-round, William Heise is super kid-friendly, Green Valley Lake (between Big Bear & Lake Arrowhead) feels like a world away, Mount Palomar is great for tall trees & crisp mountain air just a short drive from San Diego, Borrego Springs for astounding night skies, Idyllwild County Park for that camping feel while still having access to cute little restaurants, Campland on the Bay for a centrally-located alternative to San Diego hotels, and Agua Caliente to enjoy the desert in style. Feel free to ask us for our experiences & tips!Other things to notePlease DO NOT SMOKE in Lola. If we find evidence you have been smoking in the camper we will charge you $200 to steam-clean the interior walls and dry clean all the upholstered items.Pick-up and drop-off times at our house to be coordinated during daylight hours, between 8AM and no later than 8PM. If you need to arrange outside those hours, check with us and we'll see what we can do.With regards to pets - well behaved dogs are welcome, they are never to be left alone in the camper! Please DO NOT FORGET to purchase the "Pet Fee" add-on package. Please do not off-road on serious terrain, she can handle a dirt road or fire road, but will bounce around on anything too rough. You will need to follow Outdoorsy's insurance guidance start here --> https://www.outdoorsy.com/insurance and feel free to ask questions. If you need roadside assistance, Outdoorsy has info here --> https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/whats-included-in-roadside-assistance-coverageIf this is your first (or second, or third...) time using a trailer, we will walk you through the ins and outs of hooking up and set up when you come to get her. We won't leave you hanging! Both for YOUR and Lola's safety. At any point during your rental, reach out to us with questions during normal business hours (or text outside of those in an emergency, though we might not get back to you immediately). Please return Lola in the same condition you received her, WE EXPECT YOU TO CLEAN UP and give her a wipe down which is why we don't charge a cleaning fee. Basic cleaning supplies will be provided for your day-to-day use. We will give her a good scrubbing in line with Covid-19 protocols when she gets back. If you return Lola dirty, we will charge you a $75 fee for the time it takes us to clean up after you.Dump ALL 3 tanks prior to leaving your campground (avoid driving with the waste), flush the tanks and the lines, and put chemicals in the black tank (we'll explain how). If you do not do this we will charge you $100 for the effort, time, and mileage for us to get to a dumping site. MOST campsites have dump sites available. If you are boondocking - come up with a plan beforehand. Some tips.....She does have a toilet, but, if it is possible when going #2, take advantage of outside units. Lola is small, and fresh air is precious :). Also, opening and closing the awning takes 2 people (trust us) to each pull out the roll at approximately the same speed. If you want the experience of camping in a trailer without the towing-while-driving part, we can bring Lola to you and set her up and then come retrieve her for an extra fee to cover our time and mileage. Select the appropriate "Add-ons" to include this service in your booking. If we have to dump your tanks, please take into account the dumping fee.

Hi there adventurers! We are Maaike & Paul, owners of Lola the Scamp. We love the outdoors, hiking, camping, swimming, scuba diving, adventuring, and exploring parts unknown. Definitely discover "the road not taken" kinda people. Now that our family has grown to include two extra adventurers, we decided to add Lola to the mix for just a few more creature comforts while out & about. But since we can't always be on the road, we would love it if Lola can could bring other people joy and some outdoor adventures in the "in-between".

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Pick-up and drop-off times to be coordinated during daylight hours, between 8AM and no later than 8PM. If you need to arrange outside those hours, check with us and we'll see what we can do.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
There is a hard copy user guide in Lola with pictures and descriptions on how to use the various hook ups. We will walk you through the processes at check out and we can be reached during regular business hours if you need us to walk you through any issues on video chat.

Q.Is Lola kid-friendly?
A.
YES! She has all the creature comforts while still feeling like camping. The on-board bathroom/shower lets you avoid any middle-of-the-night walks to the toilet. Plus, our kids love being in one of the most recognizable campers at the campground.
