I've always camped, but as our family grew, we found it easier for us all to get out camping more often if we have a good camper. Our family of four (two adults, two kids under 12) enjoys exploring state parks in Washington and Oregon, as well as an occasional longer journey. We really enjoy Winthrop in the spring, ocean beaches in the summer, Lake Wenatchee in the early fall, and parks around Puget Sound in the winter. Our first trip in our current camper was to see the 2017 Eclipse as it passed through Madras, Oregon.

Tyler was very helpful and very responsive to communication. The trailer was easy to tow with a mid-size truck and was a very comfortable place to spend our trip. I'd definitelyrent again any time.

Q.What kind of towing set-up do I need?
A.
Your vehicle will need to have a tow rating of at least 4500 pounds. You will need a hitch with a two inch ball at a height of 23 inches. Extremely low hitches will result in sagging and scraping. I have a couple hitches to loan, but I can't guarantee they will match your needs. You will need a brake controller connected to a 7-pin socket. Most brake controllers need to be wired in, so check your vehicle manual. Some have had good experiences with new wireless controllers, which also work.
Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
The first step is to get a site with those hook-ups; not all have them. Many sites have electricity and water, plus a separate place to dump the tanks when you leave. Electric hook-up is easy: use the provided 30 foot cable and plug right into a 30 amp outlet (dryer plug) or use the adapter to plug into a regular outlet. Water hook up is easy too: connect the provided drinking water hose to the site's water supply and to the inlet on the trailer. See manual for info on holding tanks.
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
I have helped many first-timers get comfortable. When you pick up the trailer, we will spend about an hour walking through the components. I have prepared a manual that walks through all the trailer features and a step-by-step guide to its operations. It's designed to give basic info those new to using travel trailers. I will provide a copy when you pick up the trailer; I can send you a copy in advance if you like. I'm also available by email to answer other questions in advance of your trip.
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
After you submit a booking, we will coordinate the pick-up/drop-off times. In most cases I can be very flexible with timing on your selected pick-up and drop-off dates. Please let me know if you need early pick-up or later drop-off and I will try to make it work. (Daylight hours preferred.) Begin your booking on the date you want to pick it up to make sure you are covered by insurance.
