The 2020 Forest River R-Pod 172 features essential comforts of home in a compact towable layout. To ensure your comfort and health, before each rental the interior is emptied of all contents, fully cleaned, and contents & surfaces sanitized. It comes equipped with a full kitchen, bedding, and bath set – just bring food!
After a day of fun rinse off in the shower, turn on the TV or stereo, and prepare a meal using the propane cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator. After dinner the dinette area converts into sleeping space for two (or use the 2 twin bunks up front). Stay comfortable with the furnace, A/C, and all-weather exterior awning.
Due to Rocky’s lightweight design, oversized tires, and lifted suspension, he can venture down roads others cannot. The included 220W of rooftop solar and large-capacity water tanks move you beyond established campsites. To further increase endurance consider the Off-Grid Package.
Your tow vehicle needs a capacity of at least 3300’, a hitch with 2” ball, a 7-way plug, and an electronic brake controller. If you’re missing equipment take a look at our Tow Gear Package or Delivery Services. Pickup and Dropoff available 12-4pm unless otherwise agreed. This was one of the best trips our family has taken. We drove from Seattle to Yellowstone. The manual and pickup orientation were invaluable. All equipment worked great. We were cozy and comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend this trailer and this company.

Rocky was perfect for our little girls trip! The trailer was equipped with everything we needed and exceeded our expectations. The service from Boundless RV was amazing. They were so kind and knowledgeable! They were able to provide a generator for us last minute and we’re so flexible with our drop off and pick up times. They made our first time renting a trailer so easy and can’t wait to do it again!

Rocky was a great trailer for my first camper towing and camping experience. Mike and Melissa were great getting me learned up on how to operate the trailer and sending me on my way. I did the add-on off grid package, as we were camping at Baker Lake, where there's no hook-ups. The roof-top solar panels kept Rocky powered the whole time (6 days), but having the additional solar panel and propane tank just in case was worth it. Rocky was good for just me, I can see it being doable for two people, but tight with more. You'll have to keep stuff outside if you need the kitchen area for a bed. The bunk bed was comfortable, and larger than the pictures lead on. My rookie learning was the solar panels don't power the plugs, and understanding the tank level gages. All in all, I will be looking to rent Rocky again for next year's annual camping trip. Thanks Boundless RV!
