This van was exactly I was looking for in a getaway vehicle: a compact, all-in-one live/sleep space with the kitchen basics (stove, refrigeration, and cabinet/counter space) -- all in an easy-to-drive package. I really appreciated the extras like the blackout curtains and the generator to keep the frig drawer cool, and my phone charged. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable. Also, the storage space is amazing! I had everything I needed (and more), without cluttering the interior at all.
A few notes to add to the prior person's review:
- This is a branded vehicle, and a little harder to blend in (if that's what you're looking for)
- The radio is not bluetooth equipped, so if you want to connect your phone for tunes or an audiobook, bring an auxiliary cable (with a jack connection on both ends). If you have an iPhone, you'll also need a headphone adapter. I recommend figuring out the radio controls before you get on the road as well.
- Similarly, if you want to use your phone's map/GPS, bring a phone holder for the cup holder (or vents) - there's nowhere on/in the dash to hold it on its own
- the bed is much better than a sleeping bag on the ground, and yet, for those with bad backs or hips, think about bringing extra padding.
- the refrigerator drawer is great to have (and holds a LOT), and it wakes up to cool/hum about every 15 minutes. Not noticeable at all until nighttime quiet, and then only while I was awake. It didn't keep me up at all.
- If you're renting in the Bay Area, (for now, at least) the Oakland pickup/dropoff is at a pay parking lot near the Oakland Airport. It's very convenient if you want to leave your own car somewhere while you're camping. It might be less so if you're getting a ride there.

Thank you Jennifer and Lil RV team for a fabulous ride for my two-week journey from CA, through OR up to WA and back. Jennifer was super responsive to my questions and her colleague was also responsive in meeting me at my specified time for the van pickup. Everything was clean and ready to roll. Overall I LOVED the van, everything worked well, was easy to operate and I would DEFINITELY rent it again.
A few notes for future renters: This van comes with privacy shades for all windows which do a good job at blocking out most light. I found the mattress in the van comfortable for someone 5'9". If you are taller, you may want the rooftop mattress option which is longer. Note you do have to push the front seats all the way forward to open the bed. Easy enough and good to know. There's plenty of storage under the mattress frame and recommend soft bags. Depending on how much you are cooking, you may want to get extra cans of Butane, 8oz tall. Note this van is associated with Jucy Rentals and has a little branding on it, including signs for "Festival Approved" and "There's a kitchen inside" which did inspire a few comments. I brought an extra camp table with me which was helpful for more cooking space.
