This old school retro van is the ticket to your next adventure. Betsie has been meticulously maintained, has regular maintenance and runs great. With a powerful V8 engine take her anywhere. The van is simple to use, drive and park. She has 5 seat belts, air con, bluetooth, power steering, windows and mirrors.
She can accommodate a solo traveler, a couple, or a family with two small kids.
She has battery power, a two burner stove, a fridge/freezer, sink & furnace for those chilly nights.
The van has a really nice vibe. I find sleeping downstairs to be very relaxing. Sleeping upstairs feels like you're camping.
What's includedThere are no additional charges for items. The same goes for mileage. I want folks to feel like they're getting a good deal and enjoy the van. RecommendationsThere are lots of great places in the northwest. You can take the van to a campground or boondock along the way. Harvest host is also a great way to camp on the property of wineries and golf courses. We did a trip down the WA coast into Oregon last year. We camped at both beaches and campgrounds along the way.
Some destinations you may want to consider:
- Mont Rainier
- Olympic Peninsula
- San Juan Islands
- Oregon Coast
- Gamble Sands
- Vancouver Island
Other things to noteFor any renters I will provide a demo on the van, answer all of your questions, provide a printed and electronic user guide. The van is super easy to use! I'll also be available via cell for assistance should you need help. Some other things to note:
- The pop top must be in the up position when using the stove.
- The pop top must ALWAYS be locked into the down position while driving.
- No off-roading.
- No smoking inside the van.
- The pop top must remain closed in sub zero conditions (canvas will freeze and it won't close for driving).
- You will receive the van with a full tank of gas. Please return it that way..
- You can return with the grey water tank full or empty. There is no extra fee.
- Please enjoy the van while being respectful of it. It just takes a minute to wipe down the counter and floor. Cleaning supplies are provided.

Meet your host, RICHARD

Member since 2021

Hello,
I'm Richard. I'm from Ireland. I relocated to the PNW for a tech job after college. I love the great outdoors & travelling. That was the main reason for purchasing the van - exploring the PNW with a little comfort! I hope you enjoy the van as much as I do.

The van was perfect and just what we needed for our trip. It had everything we needed to camp. Richard was great to work with. The van was so nice, we decided we need to buy one!

Richard was very informative to make sure our trip was well taken care of. Had a handbook and all! He made this process very easy. His little camper was very clean and organized. I would definitely go through him again.

Richard goes the extra mile in providing a wonderful campervan with all the amenities! All we needed to bring was our food and clothing. The van comes with bedding, pillows, camp chairs, kitchen pan set, headlamps and many, many extras--all at no additional charge--which makes it really convenient for people flying into Seattle. The van is spacious, easy to set up, very maneuverable for getting into campsites and onto ferries, and gets decent mpg. Richard was an excellent host and is service-oriented--he gave good instructions for van use, was available for questions, communicated quickly and wants you to have a great time. We highly recommend renting this van!

RICHARD’s answer

Thank you, Brian. Appreciate it, and it's great to hear you had a sweet trip!

Absolutely wonderful experience, from start to finish. It was easy booking with outdoorsy. Richard accepted my booking immediately, and we were in contact from that point on. Richard is kind and easy going. This is my first time renting a camper van. I picked up the van in Seattle, Richard provided information regarding how to get to his location from Sea-Tac, we went over some simple instructions regarding van usage, and I headed out on an adventure to the Olympic Peninsula. Returning the van was just as simple. I highly recommend renting from Richard. This was a trip to remember!!

RICHARD’s answer

Thanks for the review Stephanie, much appreciated. Have a safe trip back home.

Richard was a phenomenal host. I had to change the reservation not once, but twice and he was very accommodating. His van was wonderfully stocked, easy to operate, and very clean. My three kids and I took the van for a long weekend and it had everything we needed to make the trip a breeze for cooking, cleaning, and sleeping. I would absolutely recommend Richard and his van to anyone looking to rent.

RICHARD’s answer

Thank you, Allena. Appreciate it. Take care.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
When not in use I keep the van in storage. I'd prefer the van is picked up/dropped off outside of my home in north Seattle. If that's not feasible we can work it out.
