Our renovated 1975 Burro includes these new additions: hardwood acacia floor, 2-burner propane stove, propane wall heater, outdoor shower, propane hot water heater, stereo, water storage tank (20 gallons), and new tires. The layout makes good use of the compact space and is perfect for one person or a couple. The bed is medium-firm, very comfortable and approximately a full-size mattress (dimensions 76" x 45.5"). The kitchen comes stocked with a set of basics (dishes, pots/pans, water kettle, mixing bowls, pasta strainer cooking utensils, eating utensils, 2 mugs and 2 wine glasses). Please plan to bring your own paper towels/napkins and bedding. Or bedding/pillows/down comforter can be included for an additional modest cost. Please let us know whether you plan to plug into electricity and/or a water source. The fridge and electric outlets need to be plugged into power to operate. Otherwise please plan to bring your ice chest.I suggest renters fill the water tank once they've arrived at their destination to reduce towing weight. The water tank holds 20 gallons and may need to be refilled depending on the trip duration and water usage. Please only store "soft" duffel bags or similar inside the Burro during transit. Please do not leave any items that could slide, roll or bounce during transit which could scratch the floor and cabinetry.Burro travel trailers are light-weight and made of double-shell construction with foil-backed fiberglass insulation between the inner and outer shell to provide protection from moisture and temperatures. The Burro takes a 1 and 7/8" hitch ball, and the hitch receiver is 12" off the ground. Some vehicles will require a drop down hitch.
RecommendationsThere are many campgrounds within the vicinity and all along the Sonoma and Mendocino Coastline. Here are a few favorites: Casini Ranch (in Duncans Mills, on the Russian River), Olema Campground, Samuel P. Taylor Park (in Lagunitas, Marin County).Other things to notePlease store only soft and dry items in the Burro (like duffel bags and bedding). Please stow all items that could damage the cabinetry or floor during travel in your vehicle.

Before the pandemic shifted things, I'd been a full-time yoga teacher (and teacher trainer) for 20 years. I started living in tiny houses (on land, water and wheels) as a practical means to follow my heart to become a yoga teacher. Along the way I discovered a deep love for the simplicity and minimalism of living and traveling in small spaces surrounded by nature.

Super easy and lots of fun! Our "host" Christy was really helpful and delightful to work with. Our granddaughter LOVED the Burro for her own private sleeping experience. Couldn't be happier with the whole experience!

We had a wonderful time in the Burro, driving up the Hwy 1 on the coast to Oregon, and back via Mt Shasta. The Burro as all the basics, and is a nice alternative to camping if the weather is cold or rainy. Cooking meals on the propane stove top was great. If you have an electrical hook-up, the several power outlets come in handy too. It's very cozy, enough space for two adults and our baby, but would be a squeeze for any more than that. Christy was very responsive and answered all of our questions promptly-- we would rent again!

Christy's Burro was fun & perfect for my 4 day trip up to the Sierra foothills. She covered everything upon pick-up and made things easy for me as a first time rv camper. The heating, hot water, lights and shower were surprising luxuries without being connected to an electric source. 'Small is beautiful'.

Christy is a great, accommodating host. The Burro is just as small as it looks, but it was perfect for our short two day outing and had everything we needed.

Very cozy and comfortable. Had a great time, with the added bonus of feeling morally superior parked next to those monster gas guzzling RVs :-)
